In a poignant gesture, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament (MP) Varun Gandhi penned a heartfelt letter addressed to the people of Pilibhit on March 28, reflecting on his journey and expressing gratitude to his constituents. This emotional missive came after the BJP decided to replace Varun Gandhi with former Congress leader Jitin Prasada to contest from Uttar Pradesh’s Pilibhit seat in the party’s fifth list of candidates released on March 25.

In his touching note shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Varun Gandhi reminisced about his deep-rooted connection with Pilibhit, tracing back to his childhood when he first visited the region in 1983, unaware that it would become a significant part of his life and career. He expressed gratitude for the love, simplicity, and kindness he experienced from the people of Pilibhit, acknowledging their role in shaping his character and values.

“I consider myself fortunate that I got the opportunity to serve the great people of Pilibhit for years,” wrote Varun Gandhi. “Being your representative has been the greatest honour of my life, and I have always championed your interests to the best of my ability.”

Despite the conclusion of his tenure as an MP, Varun Gandhi emphasized that his bond with Pilibhit remains unbroken and vowed to continue serving the constituency as a devoted son. He pledged to keep his doors open for the people of Pilibhit, promising to uphold their interests and amplify their voices in the political arena.
